Silistra       Silistra is a city in Northeastern Bulgaria and it is a centre of Silistra province and municipality. It is also a port on Danube river. Through the city passes the Pan-European corridor №7.

Climate:

      The climate is humid continental with hot summer, early spring and freeze ups during the winter. Quantity of the rainfalls is the biggest during the spring and early summer months, and less – during the winter. Snow cover stays 50-60 days a year and the winds are mostly northwestern and western.

      Silistra is in the list of the 100 national tourist objects of the Bulgarian tourist union. It is one of the most ancient bulgarian cities with very interesting and ancient history. The city was settled 1900 years ago when it was a Roman fortress called Durostorum.
