Razgrad       Razgrad is a town in Northeastern Bulgaria. The city is centre of Razgrad Province and it is situated near the town Ruse. The city is an administrative centre of Razgrad municipality.

The city is situated in the Beli Lom river valley, in the central part of Northeastern Bulgaria, the so called Ludogorie (Bulgarian Лудогорие). Typical for the region is the above see level about 250-270 metres.

There are transport lines to every municipality in the region, to Sofia, and to some of the biggest towns in the country – Varna, Burgas, Ruse, Shumen, Ploviv, Gabrovo, Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, etc.

Railway transport is provided by the state railways. Through the city passes the first railway line in Bulgaria – Ruse to Varna. The line is 5 km away from the central part of the town and it is near the industrial part of the town. It gives a comfortable way of travelling to the markets in and outside the country.

      The region has humid continental climate, characterises itself with a cold winter (absolute mininum temperature -26.8° С), and hot, dry summer (absolute maximum temperature +39.5° С). The average temperature during the winter is -10-12° С and during the summer is about 30-35° С and the annual average is about 26° С. Annual average quantity of the rainfalls is sbout 620-660 mm.

Most interesting sightseeing in the town are the Archaeological reserve “Abritus and mausoleum in honour of Russian soldiers, died when liberating Razgrad.
