Veliko Tarnovo is one of the ancients towns in Bulgaria. Its history dates 5000 years ago, and one of the first sources of information is from 3000 years B.C. Is found on Trapezitsa hill. Old-time part of the city is the old fortress – a castle remained since the time Veliko Tarnovo was a capital (years 1187-1393).
Climate:
Because of the above see level of 150 – 300 metres , the climate in Tarnovo kettle is humid continental with cold winter and warm summer. Sharp and continuous colds are rare. But long termed dry ups are frequent, especially in July, August and September. Average annual air's temperature is about 10,5 до 11,5 °C.
