       Veliko Tarnovo is a city in North Bulgaria, centre of municipality Veliko Tarnovo. Until the year 1965 town's name is Tarnovo, and in present days it is used much often in everyday speech. The city is situated by the river Yantra and main roads passes through it, as it passes Pan-European corridor № 9.  In the town near Veliko Tarnovo – Gorna Oryahovica (7 km away from the town) is situated an airport and the biggest railway station in North Bulgaria.

       Veliko Tarnovo is one of the ancients towns in Bulgaria. Its history dates 5000 years ago, and one of the first sources of information is from 3000 years B.C. Is found on Trapezitsa hill. Old-time part of the city is the old fortress – a castle remained since the time Veliko Tarnovo was a capital (years 1187-1393).

      Climate:

 Because of the above see level of 150 – 300 metres , the climate in Tarnovo kettle is humid continental with cold winter and warm summer. Sharp and continuous colds are rare. But long termed dry ups are frequent, especially in July, August and September. Average annual air's temperature is about 10,5 до 11,5 °C. Through the whole kettle flows an и постоянно air draught from west to east, and it helps the summer to be not very hot and the winter – not to be very cold.
