Kyustendil

       Kyustendil is a city in Southwestern Bulgaria and it is a centre of Kyustendil province. It is situated near border with Republic Macedonia. The city is administrative centre of Kyustendil municipality. Kyustendil is one of the most ancient bulgarian cities.

      During 5th - 4th century B.C. attracted by the mineral springs thracians found a settlement. In first century A.D. The romans turn the city into important fortress, trade junction and well-known balneological resort called Pautalia.

      The climate is humid continental with long summer and relatively short not very cold winter. Spring is warmer than the autumn. Average annual air`s temperature is 10,7°С. And average annual rainfalls 650 mm and snow cover stays about 4-5 weeks. Cloudiness is about 53% and humidity is 70%.
